Eziway began providing Salary Packaging administration solutions from 2006 having significant involvement with payroll departments nationally. We provided systems and improved business process through our unique cloud based EAS platform. The idea for EziCare was born when the Federal Government announced the

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

in 2013 which was designed to create a managed market for

Disability Services in Australia

with trials set to start on 1 July 2013.

The

National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)

is the independent Commonwealth government agency responsible for implementing the NDIS and, in partnership with Federal and State governments, oversees the delivery of consistent and tailored support to those who need it most. The NDIS helps people with disabilities access mainstream services and supports, access community services and supports, maintain informal support arrangements, and receive reasonable and necessary funded supports.

The NDIS was first trailed in the Hunter region in New South Wales, the Barwon region in Victoria and in the states of South Australia and Tasmania with great success in providing supports and equipment to over 25,000 eligible Australians. Over the next six years a gradual rollout to other regions nation-wide was scheduled, aiming to cover all eligible participants by July 2019.
